Also picked up a load of toys for the new 350Z like Apexi S-AFC II Apexi RSM. Also a nice deal on an ipod MP3 Player.
Thanks to Joecwlaw for the tips on shops to visit in HK

Well I have been to Hong Kong recently and got a few things. I live in the United Kingdom and its a dream going model shopping in Hong Kong. More is available and far far cheaper.
For example Tamiya Rubbing Compound can't be found in the UK. I have tried many model shops all over the UK and with no luck. Over in Hong Kong most model shops in Hong Kong had Rubbing Compound available.
Example on price. A Tamiya Mercedes Benz CLK DTM 2000 cost £22.90 where I live. Over in Hong Kong it costs about £8-9 lol.
So this just shows how much the people in the UK are being ripped off.

I agree the price is cheaper in HK. But people in UK are not ripped off, since the postage cost to UK from Japan/Hong Kong isn't cheap.
e.g. shipping a 1 kg parcel to UK is costing :
by Normal Airmail @ 19pounds
by Surface @ 14pounds
a CLK DTM200 weights about 300-400g so a £13.0 price difference isn't too bad, considering 1kg box contains 2 kits with wrapping and the weight of the container box......
no offense but just a little info to others. :)

Trust me were not call ripe off Britain for nothing. Depends on which company you order from.
Trying www.cd-wow.com for music CDs. Everything is free delivery, but the strange thing is that when you received them it says its from Hong Kong and its free delievery O.o?
I think your talking about shops ordering anyway. One thing that is true... more things are available overseas.

CD are mailed as "letters" while model kits have to be mailed at "small packets" or "parcel class" rates.
That would explain why the mailing rates are so different.
However, model kits in shops are usually not "mailed" thru postal service, but shipped as sea freight, which is not so costly.
For example, European kits (like Italeri or Heller) are inexpensive here in HK too. :grinno:
Hiroboy, ONLY 7 kits from HK? :nono:
Didn't get some of the "HK$200 for 3" or "HK$100 for 2" deals? I always find them irresistable. :evillol:
and you brought that rattle can on the flight?
btw, I actually think HK's tourism board should make "Model Shopping" a major attraction in their advertising campaign..... :naughty:
