I have just installed a Dohc ZC engine into my 90 Crx si. It idles fine but when I mash the throttle it bogs until around 4K rpm's then it revs smoothly. If I slowly hit the throttle it runs fine. I have heard that it could be a bad O2 sensor. Mabye bad plug wires? My plugs are fairly new so I don't think that their the problem. Any Suggestions?

It only does it once it warms up, today was my first day actually taking it out of the garage and the first time I took it out it was running awesome, and then I took it back to adjust the clutch cable and when I went back out it started bogging like crazy. I just happened to see a ricer on my second time out and thought it would be fun to try the engine out and to my suprise I get smoked by a stock civic ex. That really hurt my feelings, I thought I was gonna cry. The engine hardly even starts now. It bogs really bad at low rpms making it difficult to get going. And if I try to acclerate it bogs really bad. If I hold the acclerater down for a few seconds it will bog at first, then try to get going, and then bog back down again. It's like its trying to run good. I am going to take it into a shop and get a tuneup and have them check everything on monday. Any help would be appreciated though.

Did you adjust the clutch cable incorrectly? You sure it was the clutch cable you adjusted?

I figured it out! Check this, it was the plug wires. I just plugged the ones from the d16 in and it revved up perfect. I ordered some accel plugs from nopi. Now its time to go look for that civic! Thanks for the info guys.
