My rear wiper on my 99 2dr blazer does not work. Is there a way i can check to see if it is the wiper motor that is not working or if it is something else such as bad wirering/switch etc? does anyone know how i might go about checking to see what the problem is.
The problem started last week. The wiper blade would move half way up the rear window and then stop. If I helped it along through the rest of the up swing it would go back down on its own. It would get stuck again on the following up swing. Now it doesnt work at all. Any ideas?
thanks for your help

I have this problem as well, Is there an easier solution that replacing the entire motor? Or is that the only fix for this one?

It sounds like your rear wiper motor is burnt. I think thats the only solution

Then don't buy new, go on ebay and get a cheap replacement.

Try your local junk yard also...
It's a great way to get some experience on how to remove and install the motor without damaging anything to YOUR vehicle... =)

Mine was doing the exact same thing. All I did was take the cover off of the motor and lubricate the gears. They were all dried up. Works perfectly now.

Did you ever fix your wiper. I have the same problem on my 99 2 door. To test the motor, poke around with and find the + and ground on the motor side, mine works when I do this, but the relay PCB board is fried (the black box that sits on the motor). Advanced auto parts has the motor will lifetime warranty and the pcb board as well. I have yet to get around to it, the pcb board is like 45 bucks, the wiper is like 75 each with its own core charge

I haven't had a chance to get to this fix yet. It's still on my to-do list :)
I'm hoping thought that trying to re-grease the motor will work for me.. Hopefully i'll have some time to do this soon
