AllanLambo, A question for you.

Since you have an SV, and mentioned having other lambos. I was wondering if you could enlighten us upon the ups and downs of AWD and RWD diablos.
I know the RWD would be faster, lighter, probably more fun at times, but is the traction loss at times a pain in the ass? I know Vipers have trouble with traction and they have just as wide of tires.
Thanks.

i am not AllanLambo but i try any way :) haha
SV is faster at jump off lights, VT is faster on city, mainly coz fear takes in when you floor the sv at a street corner.
when you drive really fast and you turn the steering wheel (big turn), the wheels doesn't seems like turning much for about .5 second, and then you feel the vibrate bit more than usual till the front start turning and the rear goes side ways, dramatically slows down the speed than sv. haha, and when you correct the turn, turn your steering wheel the other way, steering wheel vibrate turns rather good. but you don't feel its a 4wd much any way. only time when you notice its a 4wd is when you buy it, the vt badge on the back and when you skid.
but its much more fun doing skid in the vt, does donut quite well too.

Hello sorry took so long to write back, just got settled in my new home in Maui.
Lets see, traction with Vt and Sv. Ive had 2 rear drive Diablos, a 92 and a 98, both modified, and neither has problems with the traction. You may get some wheelspin in 1st, but thats about it. Vipers gears are much shorter, thats why they light em much easier, along with the fact that all their weight is in the front. Now, if i use nitrous, its a whole different story, spinning the tires badly through 3rd gear.
I dislike the Vt's for reasons such as :
Greater weight
more stress on clutches
Viscious couplings go bad

for hiphophomer all none of the diablo are proper awds, they all 4wd. its not hard to turn them into rwds, in fact, almost all SV roadsters are VT roadsters taken off the front drive shaft differential and half shafts and a few other things.
but i have to say, the SVs are fun in terms of take off at the lights, but drive around the city and race on high ways, i say VT, you are in control more, diablos are great, if you don't know what you doing but don't make a street turn at mid revs, or you'll proboblly end up in a pole, SV most likely to be hit at the rear, VTs are most likely at the front, what do you think allanlambo? in terms of cluth, i have to say lambos have great clutch, unless if you keep on doing donuts in the VT, other wise its ok.
