Where do i start?

I am trying to install a audio system in my car. This is my first time trying to install an audio system so i need major help. First of all i am not really sure what to buy. So can someone out there help me figure out what i need to purchase. I want killer bass so i am probably going to have some subs in my trunk. But what next? what kind of amplifier? and all that. Can someone help me make a list of what i need to purchase. What tweakers are best and all that? What amplifer specification i will need to work with my sub and won't blow my speakers. Thank You

Well, you got a couple of places you can start, but since you're looking more into the bass area of the stereo I would say start with your subs. Find the subs that give you the kind of bass you're looking for, then match your amp to the power ratings of the subs. Once you have that, you can go from there. Personally, I like Memphis's 12" HPO series of subwoofers. Great bass and great sound. Adire Audio has the Brahma series that are supposed to be awesome. Rockford Power HX2's, Kicker SoloBarics S7 series, Alpine Type R's, and many other subs will give you major bass. It also depends on the air space and enclosure that you get.
