Old Mustang Look and Fuel Efficient

Heya

So over the years i've seen many models of cars and around the 70's Ford let out most of the Mustang bodies that I like. At this very moment I have 0 car knowledge other than changing the oil and perhaps a tire. -- so in other words I know shiet about engines and such.

As i'll assume you know what these look like.. these are the types of bodies that appeal to me.

1978 Ford Mustang II
1976 Ford Mustang II
Ford Mustang 302 Boss 1970

My question you ya'll is this:

Are there any pretty mustang builds out there that aren't gas guzzlers(i.e. fuel efficient)? Power has never been an issue for me (I live in the city and really don't need to push past 65 MPH).

If there isn't -- any newer models out there that come close to the sleak look of those 70's models that are .. close to environment friendly and don't swallow gas as fast as I can drink?

Thanks for any help out there.

wow your a freak... cept for the boss 302..
anyway, about the gas thing, well if ur gonna own a mustang u can't be worryed about these things, and second there not as bad as u think, but in the city your gonnan burn a lot more gas then on the highway.

if thats the style u like then get that kind of style, but stay with a smaller engine... like maybe a 260

my 66 with the 6 gets decent gas mileage 20-24 mpg if i don't floor it all the time and be nice to it, Better than my old car, a 4.0 jeep

My 77 Cobra II got around 20mpg around town and about 25 on highway with a 2.8 V6 and I heard that the 302's got close to the same, they had VERY little power, but good mileage.
