Hello all!
Just a little introduction here. My name is Jeremy and I'm from Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada. I know a guy who will sell me his '90 Civic Hatchback for $500 CDN. I have always wanted to buy a Civic, but never had the money. Then I decided that I had to have one. So, I sold some old stuff that I had and got about $2000 CDN. So, I talked to this guy about his Civic. I should be getting it next weekend (hopefully). I figure if I put the $1500 CDN that's left (car costs $500 CDN), I can get it inspected and on the road. Then I can sell my old car ('95 Plymouth Acclaim) and get about $3000 CDN for that.
I am really looking forward to getting this car on the road and looking and driving and sounding good.
I'll post on this forum whenever I do something to my car. And I'm sure I'll have lots of questions too.

it all depends on what condition the car is. remember you get what you pay for.

Actually, the car's not too bad. I think maybe a new clutch, but other than that it runs great. My father's a mechanic, so I'll get him to go with me when I buy it. And there is a chance I won't get this car in particular, but I'm set on getting a 88-91 civic, so I'll still be here to post.
Thanks all for the warm welcomes, and I'll keep everyone updated.
BTW, I'm thinking ahead of what color I want to paint it and I can't decide. I'm deciding between a metallic blue and a dark orange. What do you guys think?

if your going to paint it orange, i reccommend getting a body kit.. a flashy colour like that just doesnt suit a stock bodied civic. i've seen many attempts, and it always ends up looking like shit. i'd paint it the dark purple.
or just invest in some new suspension, coilovers since your canadian, and some nice rims. then you'll have a nice looking ride, and save $$$

I was actually thinking of the Mugen Kit. Burnt orange is the color I think I'm going to go with. But, because the roads aren't so good around here, I'm going to hold off on lowering it...
