Color coded speaker wires

I just bought some JVC 4-way speakers and installed them myself, i cut off the adapters for the factory speakers and hooked up the wires but i didnt think of checking for plus of minus. would this affect the sound quality if so i do not know the colors of the wires.

yes it does make a difference. the speaker will be out of phase.
