sounds like your valves are loose and need adjustment
they can be adjusted to within spec by yourself if you got the tools its not hard at all. I would suggest getting a haynes automotive repair book or something similar because it goes through the steps on how to properly adjust the valve lash which is the clearance for your valves. If your valves are loose which they really sound like they are in the under the hood #2 then you would be loosing power as they are not opening up high(lift) enough and not for the right time period(duration)
the only tool you really would require is one that measures the clearance
of the valves which i think is a feeler guage or something similar
other than that there is a nut on top of each valve that you loosen then you tighten the screw in the center of the nut to within specs. Then tighten the nut back up. I really dont know all the specifics but this should help. If you are really lost then go to the acura dealer or a honda dealer because the adjustment is routine and they know what they are doing

for the valve adjustment you will need to purchase a valve cover gasket so they will probably hit you up for that around 40-50 bucks and then the service might take an hour so whatever their going rate prob $65-75 for the first hour of labor i would just call a local dealer I got no real estimate though but good luck hope you get it all figured out :smokin:
