Ignition Switch

I can start the car with my key fine, but once I turn it over, and the key goes back to the resting spot, it shuts off. You have to turn it back farther, almost to where you shut off the ignition for it to stay running. So you have to start it, then hurry up and turn it back to this one little perfect spot and hope it stays there for it to stay running.

Do I need an ignition switch? If so, 1. question: Does the '89 switch fit? And will it work? because I have a '90 crx and the parts store said they can only order up to year '89 so now what?

Uh yea you need to replace the switch. Find another parts store, you should be able to use the '89, call Honda parts dept. see if the part #'s are the same or you could look it up yourself.

most likely you will have to replace it since you say that you have to get it to stay in a certain spot or it will die. Call up honda and see how much they have one going for. If not, look around on ebay and some other sites.
