1988 Escort GL Electrical Problem

My cyclops light comes on when I turn on the parking lights and goes bright when I step on the brake. Also, my ash tray light comes on when I step on the brake and my parking lights are off.

I've probably got a bad ground somewhere, however, I have no idea where to look for it.

Problem corrected. The left rear tail light was bad, even though it was lighting up for both parking lights and brake lights. It had an internal short that fed through from the brake light to the parking light and turned on the front parking lights and the dash lights when the brake was applied.

Replaced bulb and corrected the problem - after several hours of troubleshooting.
