message from the newbie

hey all. i'm new to this forumd and wanted to say hi... i have a 95 del Sol VTEC, and i couldn't be happier with it. i got it in december of 2000, and it's treated me great so far, including in the snow.

here's what i have done to it so far....

aem cold air intake and an aerospeed axle-back exhaust. i wasn't going to get the exhaust, but my stock exhaust pipe rusted through just before the muffler.... since the muffler is a "wearable part" it wasn't covered under my warranty. :mad: that's why i got the aerospeed. it's nice though. fairly deep, not at all buzzy (thank god for that!), but the tip is a little bigger than i'd like it to be @ 4.5 inches. it's a fooking watermellon launcher! :mad: oh well. better than no muffler at all! that was LOUD!

i have a long to do list for the future, when i have the money... too bad the mortgage takes most of my money... that makes the mods all that much more entertaining when i get them though. they're "special" then. here's a bit of what i'm going to do with my car....

here's part of my list. almost all go, very little show (rice)...

engine:
aem tru-power pulley
dc 4-1 ceramic headers
aem tru-time cam gears
aem short ram air intake (for the winter....)
lightened aluminum flywheel

suspension:
v-spec coilovers
advance concepts strut bar

brakes:
cross drilled rotors
sports brake pads

body and lighting:
piaa superplasma bulbs
clear bumper lenses

quite a long list of things i want to do, but it's all attainable. i'll eventually go f/i after (if) the endyn supercharger comes out. either that, or i'm going to get myself a 69ish camaro and have some fun with that! :D

I said "hi" in the Civic forum but I guess I'll say "hi" here too.

I'm new also...a former mod from PH. I own a '97 VTEC, which I just got. Mods are pretty much non-existent, and Arioch, if you think you have plans, you should see mine! :eek:

I'm still trying to decide what I want to do power wise, be it FI (either Fmax, Drag, Greddy, or JR) or NA (either Toda, JUN, or Spoon).
