I converted over to mpfi in my 91 STD a couple weeks ago, and all it had before that was a CAI.
My base time was 18.4@72 with a 2.6 60' time.
Tonight i brought that down to a 17.3@75.
I was hoping for a little bit faster but that is more than a second off so im pretty happy.
Im still using the crappy 4 speed so i think that may be one of my problems.
Hopefully that will be going next summer as well as a header and cat back, and then i should be in the 16s.
Oh ya, on flat highway, my top speed increased from 95 to 110.

1 second off is pretty good improvement, i think your tranny is really screwing you over though, its gearing is the worst for 1/4 miles.

Ya, I wish I had time or money to get rid of it now, but i will have to wait til summer when college is over.
I know those horsepower calculators are not correct, but I figure mayb the difference in my before and after times will give me a good estimate of how much horsepower I have added.
So when I did it, the calculator said that I gained 19 at the flywheel and 15 at the wheels, which seems pretty consistent for what other people have gained with this sway.

Ya, everything is going fine with it so far.
THe car takes a little longer to crank over than beofre and takes a little while longer to warm up, but other than that its awesome.
I was hoping for 16.9, but that didnt happen.
Do you have a 5 speed and any other mods?

If youre asking me im using the Si ecu.
I just compared my best before slip to my best after.
What i found was that in the first 8th mile i dropped my time by .8 seconds.
But in the second 8th mile i only dropped .3 seconds, which suggests that the tranny is screwing me when i shift into third at aroudn the half way mark.
I really wish i could swap out now.
Do you guys recommend the Dx tranny or the Si?

definately si tranny i'm regretting paying to have my dx tranny yanked from my totaled car for the price i payed for it i could have bought an si tranny completely restored, it's better than a Sexualy Transmitted Disease transmission. abd the fifth gear is really nice, you will like.
