taking rarity into account, do any of yall think that a 98 240 SE with 32k on it is worth 14k from a dealer? its in immaculate condition. and of course is a 5 spd. just that is a little over the cap i set for myself, but the low miles is very enticing.
let me know what ya think

thanks

If you have that kind of money.. i would do it. 32k is like it's less than 3 years old.. if u figure 10-15k a year... sounds like a deal to me..

i always thought that around 15- 20 k a year is average here in toronto.

so that would mean the car is really 1.5 years old.

for a 1 year old car 14 k is about the same price as a new corolla or something.

yea, 14k is a lot to spend but if it's all good and you want a newer car, there's not a better choice than the 240. stick is good, you'll have an easier time selling it. i'd still try talking him down a few hundred or so.

Don't go for any more than 14,000 out the door with everything. Try for like 13,800 out the door. If he doesnt do it then if you leave with that offer on the table he will most likely call u back later.

tell him 12k cause u have school to pay for or some bullshit..
make a story, it works all the time, just get it consistent, cause the seller will feel ur pain and say "ahhh.. 2000 , this kid is a good guy, ill sell it"

happened to 3 of my friends after i told em to do it.

lol if this guy has any idea what a 240sx is and what people want them for he will not budge, my brother is a car salesman so know the run-around...

was this an internet ad you found it on? if so your never going to get it lower than the internet-listed price.

if it wasn't an internet ad:

go in offer him 12,500 out the door, if he says no turn around, walk away and DON'T LOOK BACK ... if he wants to deal he'll say something or come get you, otherwise he's not going to deal with ya.

im sure if you showed up with 12,500 in cash he'd deal :) haha

thats what ide do if i had the money, but my car was only 4k with 45,000 miles on it so i dunno, 12k is a lot because i'll have my rb25 with mods including what i payed for my car and current mods for that price, but i still have to dish out 2k for a kouki conversion... its all what kind of money you have to spend really.
