Idling noise.........HELP!!

Hi i have a 2000 E46 318. For the last week whenever the car is idling(at a traffic light or in traffic), the engine seems to vibrate. I can feel and hear the engine making a growling sound and the brake also vibrates a little. Anybody have any idea what the problem is?

P.S My thermostat is also damaged and im having it replaced ASAP. Any chance this has anything to do with it?

I doubt the thermostat is the problem but anything is possible. The car should still be under warranty so just take it in and tell them. What country are you in... I didn't think the E46 came in the 318 in the US.
