Hello All, Can anyone tell me if there is a product that I can buy that will allow me to install an aftermarket stereo that can be controlled by the Steering Wheel buttons. I thought I had seen this somewhere but the salesman with whom I am working with tells me that there isnt any device made for this. I want to install a Alpine system but if I cant locate something I will just upgrade the speakers and keep the old Delco CD. On the subject of speakers what are some ideas you have as to what would work best for me. I am NOT installing an separate amp so let me know what has worked for you please. Hope to hear from you all soon.
Once again thanks
Wes

Hope this helps

I was told by a Car Toys rep that there is a product that will allow the use of the steering wheel controls - not sure how much it is, as I elected not to get it. I installed an Alpine deck in my 95 SSEi and love it! I replaced the stock speakers with Infinity Reference series 6x9's in back and the I think the front ones are 5.25 but can't remember. Anyway, the Alpine came with a remote and I don't miss the steering wheel controls at all. The stock speakers are crap!! They gave them back to me when I picked up the car - they are cheap paper cones made in Mexico. My Infinity's ran about $100 a pair and are MUCH better quality in build and sound. Originally they tried to sell me on component speakers to replace ALL the factory speakers, but I told them no and they bypassed the un-needed tweeters in front and back. I love my system!
