I didn't see this one posted yet, so I might as well do it myself...
According to HobbySearch, Tamiya will be releasing Xanavi Nismo GT-R 2003 in November (kit 24268). Here's the link:
Xanavi Nismo GT-R (http://www.1999.co.jp/asp/GoodsDetails_e.asp?Bno=2440822&Typ1_c=102&Typ2_c=106&Typ3_c=438&SPage=1&SC=172&SN=Autos+1%2F24+%28Tamiya%29&It_c=10034045&andor=0&scope=0&scope2=0&thumb=1&sortID=1&urikire=1&sort_sort=0&ItKey=&app_url=shop_right_e.asp)
I really want this one...

It better be accurate, not just another rebox with some cartograf decals. :icon16:

I was just thinking the same thing. It'll probably be a Calsonic Skyline with a few new decals, and maybe an incorrect wing and wheels :shakehead
I'll be happy to be proven wrong though
Come on Tamiya, get those guys in the design office working again!

The VQ powered GT-R is quite different from RB powered. The hood is much lower. I bet the body is new, but the rest might be the same as the old kit.

Is that it then, is that what we've been waiting months for or will there be one more release maybe.
Personally i think it looks too similar to too many previous Tamiya kits.
Give us something European......German.......hint !!!
From a dissapointed Tamiya fanatic who wont be purchasing one of those.
Later, Mike.

That's my guess too, new tooling for the body everthing else is prolly the same. These decals have been available from S27 for a while, actually I think they were the '02 decals but basically the same. This is totally expected. More milage out of basically existing molds. I wouldn't be surprised to see an updated JGTC NSX either. S27 were going to release a '02 or '03 transkit to update the NSX at one time. Tamiya produces kits to sell in the japanese domestic market. They know well thier marketing and buyer base economics and it's not North American based. This is a JGTC race car, its apples and oranges to ask for a Blitz or Nismo 350Z because of this release. It'd be like hoping Revell issues a SVO Taurus because they are releasing the latest Jeff Gordon superman NASCAR or something. Don't hold your breath for a German production race car. They have done the DTM Mercedes, Opel recently. Don't get me wrong I'd love to see a GT3 R or a DTM Audi TT. Just not going to happen.
