I own a 1994 grandprix... I have been having problems with it not starting.. the car starts .. runs for a while then shuts down.. I have had it into the dealer, and other places.. no one has pin pointed the problem yet? after the car cools down.. it starts back up ... I have changed the ECM, Control module.. still the same problem,, I have heard a tale or two about the Camshaft / Crankshaft sensor... I don't know which one exists or if they do.. has anyone ever ran across an issue like this .. please help..

-Thx

Sounds like a crank sensor. Is this a 3.8L? I have a Bonneville that had the same problem, and the crank sensor fixed it. The crank sensor tells the engine there is RPM to start it. It is located behind the harmonic balancer if it is a 3.8, pretty easy to install, and the part is about 20 bucks.

No..it would not be the 3.8L motor. They weren't put in grand prix until 1997. What engine DOES your car have in it? The 3.4L DOHC motor or the 3100?
