In case you didn't know...cops don't spend 24 hour shifts patroling/working/whatever. They work their 8 hours but they can be called in at anytime. When they go out on a Sunday drive or out with the family, they carry their badge and gun at all times. You live, eat and breathe work. They have authority and are to uphold the laws 24/7.

My father was a cop for 17 years ;)
