Civics with odd engines?

anyone out there have any offbeat engine combonations out there. For example, like a GM motor in a civic or any honda.

Anyone know of any motors that would not be that difficult to interchange?

I saw a volvo wagon the other day with a ford 5.0 in it, so it got me thinking about this.

I've had the idea of putting a V8 in the rear of civic hatch - I've seen NSX engines in the back of CRX's before. You would have to stick with FWD if you wanna call it easy swappin' in an engine that shouldnt be there. You'll need lots of duct tape & redneck engineering.

you could weld custom motor mounts and other stuff :bigthumb:

I got a 240sx with a Skyline GTR motor in it.

ive seen lotus elises with honda motors in them.

umm as for hondas with odd swaps, couldnt tell you

rx7s with V8s

if you got enough money you can do whatever you want

i've seen elises with a B18 like kidrocket was sayin...

most unique motor i've heard of in a civic was an F20...

Well if you did the conversion yourself, only parts would be the cost? Labor @ shop - I would guess at least 15hrs. Why, because FWD sux donkey balls IMO.

Neither Civics or Focuses have any sex appeal. I mean, i love my lil' EX coupe, but it has zero sex appeal. I don't care what mods a person does to their Civic/Focus, it's still just that, which is a cute little compact. You want sex appeal? Drive a Ferrari/Aston Martin/Porsche/or some other exotic like a Pagani, Koeniggsegg, or Lotus.

i've seen a chevy 350 V8 in a tracker... the guy had to take out the firewall to fit it... what a safe auto... sheeesh

Money does not equal sex appeal and overall the topic was not extremely exotic and expensive cars. It was a Civic and a Focus. Which has more in your opinion? Did you ever stop and think that the reason your car has no sex appeal is because of the driver?

I wasn't trying to make the point that $$$ = sex appeal. For proof of that, look at any Hummer, Infiniti M45, or Elizabeth Taylor. Lots o' money, but no absolutely no sex appeal.
Also, i know the topic didn't start off as a discussion of exotic/expensive cars, but that's where the thread was at, and that's what i was responding to. Damn dude, lighten up.
