What is an average price to have my car windows tinted?

I have a 2000 Integra, looking to get sides and back done. I think I want darkness of between 20-30. (Not sure what the proper lingo is for this) Basically I want it pretty dark to deter would be thieves.

Any advice on price or things to ask for, things to watch out for, etc is greatly appreciated!

I think it depends on where you live in CA it was like $100-150 here in AK it is $200-$300

do you have a hatch or a sedan? sedans cost a bit more. to tint a hatch in wa state it costs around $100 (decent quality) to $150 (very good quality). most states only allow tints higher than 35% in the front side windows and anything lower than that is illegal. you can have any amount of tint % in the back side windows and back window though.

I have a 2000 LS Hatch, in NC we have the 35% limit.

What are the differences between good and very good quality? How can I tell before hand? I'd rather pay more and have quality than be unhappy later on.

decent quality is when there are very few small bubbles in the tint, and very good quality is when there are no bubbles in the tint. sometimes you get lucky and get very good quality for the price of a decent tint, depending on the shop. i know for a fact that they'll fawk up the back window cause of those little dots up top. you should probably ask them not to tint that area and use vinyl up there or something. i prefer 35% with simi-reflective tint. good luck with the tint and let us know how it goes.
