im fairly new to the whole tuning scene but it has my full and undivided attention, and im in the market lookin for a hatch now my preferrence is any si from 93-95. ok from what i know so far is that its a d series motor sohc w/ vtec is there really any difference between a 93, 94 or a 95 si...

The only difference is in the mileage.

even though it doesnt say it on the valve cover the 92 si is also a v-tec. I used to have one.

If your planning to swap a motor out and make it a fast car you might go with a cx, vx, or dx. They have a lot less weight and coast less too.

well thats a given "mileage" but im talkin about begining with a stock motor then eventually drop a b20 but not anytime soon... that was a lot of help sheeesh!?!!

also whats with tha weight difference? wouldnt a weight reduction take care of that?? i mean yeah a want to make it into a fast care but i aint planning to go all out. probably go all motor ya know, turbos gonna be tha last thing i put in my car. i just need a lil intellectual stimulation and some guidance for hookin up my hatch... that all thankx

If you slow down and use your brain and think then you'd realize that there is NO difference in the different years. The difference lies in the trim levels which, I see by your profile, you have no idea what the hell it is. The trim level is not the color of your car. It's either EX,Si,DX,VX,CX, etc.... You need to do alot more studying up before even considering a B20 swap and just to let you know, the K20 is out of your reach as far as overall Honda swap knowledge.

d16z6 found in 92-95 civic si....no difference internal or externaly. all sohc vtec rated at 128 hp. i couldnt tell you on the weight diff on the 92+ vehicles...i can tell you this....91crx si is roughly 200 lbs more than the 91 crx hf. the d16a6 weights in at 10lbs more than a d15 found in the hf.....engine comparison.....d16a6 roughle 208 lbs....b16 roughly 309lbs. b20 im sure is closer to 350 maybe even more. what exactly are you looking for? straight line performance of auto-x?
