h22a swap, emission tests

i have a 95 accord and im planning to swap an h22a JDM spec into it. the only problem is i dont know if it will pass my state's emission tests, i live in texas by the way. if you have any ensight you'd like to input, please do.

if you keep the cat and take it to a cheep shop that wont know the difference between the motors the car will pass.

do u think it would be better if i picked up a high flow cat? if so what brand? thanks for the help

for power yeah, but id think that a more restrictive cat would do a better job of cleaning up the exhaust so not for smog purpose.

do u think i should stick w/ the stock cat or is there some aftermarket part that cleans up the exhaust better? and when i get the engine, should i upgrade to a OBC II ECU? <not even sure what all i can do w/ it.

no, dont do that, the engine and your car are both OBD1. so the H22a ECU will plug right in. I thikn there are a few wires that need locations changed though. but I also think OBD2 gives smaller gains with mods, o is harder to work around, i heard something like that but cant remember exactly. and if you are worried put on 2 cats, go pass the test then have a custom exhaust done with 1 high flow. and testing time, bolt back up the old section with 2 cats.
