no spark

my friend has a 92 teg n there is no spark the wires r fairly new n its a new cap n rotor....i took off the dist. cap n cranked it to see if the coil would fire..{not sure if it works with imports but i know u can pull the wire from the coil on an american car n the coil would still fire} n the coil dident fore but before i go replace it i wanted to see if there could be anything else like the cylinder position sensor or ignitor...how would u check them? any help apperciated...

It is possibly the ignitor, it is kindof a common problem with the car
