v6 to lt1 engine swap newbie questions.

Sup everyone im new to this forum and i hope to find some help from someone.

I just picked up a 94 v6 camaro for a great price. Ever since i got my first car ive been into the import scene and know very little about domestics other than ive wanted one but insurance prices held me back.Now that i picked up this car i was wondering what do i need to swap in a lt1. Right now it has the stock automatic tranny ive read in forums where they said it wont work with the lt1 is this true?? I want to get started on this project as soon as possible i just wanted to get a confirmed list on parts that i need to get to complete the car ive always wanted.

actually the tranny you have will work fine. in 94 both the v6's and the z-28's had the 4L60-e auto transmission. they were the same in both so the lt1 will work in ur car.
