sup all, i was just wonderin if any of u US wrx owners got this option package? Premium Package: Rear spoiler, power moonroof(with tilt-up and retract ventilation features), dual-mode heated front seats, heated exterior mirrors and windshield wiper de-icer. I know its all extra weight n cushy features, but i live in cold ass winter ohio and i was wondering if it was worth it, I'm this close to gettin a WRX wagon for practicality, but supposedly the wagon only comes with a rear window wiper de icer, :frown: ,and that premium package is unavailable , anyone tell me about the option package n if theyre happy w/ it or indifferent :icon16: maybe i might just do a sedan if its worth it

Having lived in Cleveland for 11 years, I'd say go for it. I worked at BMW Cleveland for a year. Out of the hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of cars that I drove, delivered, etc, only about 5 didn't have the cold weather package. It's a necessity in Ohio.

The 'Premium Package' your describing all come standard on the '04 Canadian version (see www.subaru.ca). The heated side mirrors and rear window wiper de-icer are also standard on the TS and RS models. When you order a 'Premium Package' WRX they probably just send you a Canadian car. If it wasn't for all the paperwork and duty I'd suggest popping up to Windsor and checking out the prices.

Jeez , I live at 5500+ feet here , and it gets pretty cold in the winter , and I don't need all that extra stuff. If you need something thats more practical and has more heated features , then I would suggest a Jeep Grand Cherokee V8. Has all of the above and then some , plus the power to drive thru 5 foot drifts. I have one of those , but I only drag it out when the snow gets too deep for the poor WRX.

Last winter I drove my '87 Camry (now deceased) with no heat, and temperatures that reached to -30°F!!! That sucked. My current car unfortunately doesn't have heat either, so I'm gonna probably get it fixed.

Anyway, I'm sure I'm gonna get that special heater package next year (hopefully!)
