May I inquire as to where you got your RSR header? I am not looking to pick one up myself, but I am hearing about how these are increasingly difficult to come by.

That is the MSD ignition correct? How do you like it?
totogsr

I've had the RSR headers since late 98 and If i remember correctly it was DPR that ordered them for me when I got my work done there. Good thing you're not thinking about getting them because they are not all that. As for the MSD igni it works great... when VTEC kicks in it feels like it has more punch to it. However my friends tells me that what a lot of people in Japan do is they swap all the grounds under the hood. They sell this kit that replaces all the factory ground and the feeling is suppossed to significant when VTEC hits. I'm not sure what grounds need to be changed but it might something worht checking out...
I have some FEEL'S one piece headers with straight pipe w/ brackets to mount cat heat shield for sale if anyone is interested

08-29-2001, 09:31 AM
thanks gangstar, and rickerocket: phew 65k is nothing to worry about at all, mine is a 97 with 117k miles on it, but i guess mine just runs especially good cause i never dawgged it really, im runnin the stock 7.8 lbs of boost that the kit comes set on since i dont have a boost controller yet, the best ive run so far is a 13.31 while bending the axle, but now i got the LSD and a few other mods, but before i run again im putting a test pipe on(f emissions ha) and were gonna raise the boost to 10 and run on racing fuel, i just wanna hit like a 12.7, the car is my daily driver, the only thing that took some getting used to was the drag clutch, real grippy

Hey NEON i just had a question, what kind of lsd did yo put in your tranny?
neonHAHA
08-31-2001, 05:34 PM
i went with the type R lsd cause i scored it brand new for 400 dollars, if i bend the axle again or anything of the sort if i have too much power im gonna sell it and get a quaife
totogsr
09-04-2001, 02:36 AM
Just the lsd unit? I mean did you just take the lsd unit from a type r and put it into your tranny? or did you use the whole type r tranny? the reason im so nosey is because i have the chance the pickup a type r lsd for very cheap and what my friend's tellin me is that it's complete with some kind of gear that goes around the lsd? (if that makes any kind of sense).
:flash:
:flash:
neonHAHA
09-04-2001, 10:04 AM
its only the lsd, it came with a bunch of stuff with it but not a tranny, you should be fine, i am not gonna be able to get it installed intill i get paid next friday then im hitting the track again, so i dont know how well it works yet

Cool cuz i wont be able to return it if it doesn't fit in my tranny

It depends on which sticker you're talking about. The AEM one only gives me about 5 hp, but the Gredddy one can add up to 80 hp, depending on which parts I decide to have that day. Sometimes, I like to use a DC Sports sticker to claim that I add an extra 10 hp from using their headers on top of the 80 I get from the Greddy sticker, claiming that I use their turbo. A DOHC VTEC sticker is worth about another 30 hp. The Skunk2 sticker is about 20 hp, if I say it's the intake manifold, then I'll throw on another 50 hp with a Jackson Racing sticker. See how that works? It all depends on which stickers you're using that day. I usually like to leave all my stickers on so that I make enough hp to beat top fuel cars. I tend to stay away from the APC and Matrix stickers, as those tend to be "ricey". I think my absolute best powermaking sticker is the NOS one. I run a 500 shot of nitrous on top of my supercharger, Greddy turbo, Drag turbo, Fmax turbo, Rev Hard turbo, Skunk2 intake manifold, DC sports headers, and AEM cold air intake. (How's that for a long ass line of sequential turbos?) I approximate about 2650 bhp coming out of my car. That's gives me a hp to weight ratio of about 1:1, almost. Heh heh heh. Feel the wrath of Wings West!!!

Dare to dream. I'll never equate to Peyomp. I, personally, like him. Then again, I don't really troll OT over there, so I don't really get his bad side. When he's in the performance forums, he's actually very courteous, helpful, and knowledgable. On top of that, I've always liked difficult people. They challenge me and force me to grow. I would be honored if I could be the Peyomp of AF someday...

Don't call me "son", boy. You best be learneed your manner around a serious racer like me, kid. I am sponsored by Stickers-R-Us. Anyways, you weren't supposed to talk about them thar carbon fiber hose clamps. But since you already have, my block is also made of carbon fiber, as are my pistons, rings, head, cams, valvecover, steering wheel, hood, doors, trunk, windows, wheels, tires, seats, headlights, and spoiler. I've got billet batteries, shifter, floor mats, exhaust, headers, intake, brakes, bolts, breather, and moonroof. (Chicks hella think my billet moonroof is DOOOPE!) It's a built engine made to take up to 10,000 psi of boost, but I'm only running 50 psi because I also have a 25 shot of nitrous. Just you wait until my car gets out of the shop. We're gonna run for pink slips...

uhh..no...top right corner..the "TYPE-R" sticker....that's not where a real DC integra Type-R sticker should be..and it's also not the kind of Type-R sticker that Acura use for their type-R's...coz those look more like ones u get in car accesory shops..and that's why i mean it's kinda ricey..:D
and uhh.the emblems..they do look kidna brighter and little but more pinky compared to the red Type-R acura emblems..or maybe i'm just colour blind..:d
