The Thing wont START

OK basically when I try to start the car nothing happens. The electric system seems to come on, but the engine doesnt rev nor does it make any other sounds.

When this started I was trying to start the car, and it was revving but not wanting to turn over (I have a punctured vacuum hose somewhere in the thing) and then all of a sudden it just stopped. Now it wont do anything.

I have a brand new starter, brand new battery (5 year), brand new spark plugs, distributor cap, heat shield, and a rebuilt carburator. Its an 88 Honda Accord Hatchback, white, automatic. Any ideas people?
