timing belt help

I recently changed my timing belt. after i put all the belts and pulley on i started the car. The front car is still jacked up, when i started the car, the front tires spin at a slow pace at idle. it never did that before while idleling. Is it because the timing belt or the tensioner is to tight or the other three belts or pulleys to tight alt, pr steering, air cond. Also when i rev it, the revs are short and quick burst diffrent sound than it was before. To me i think the belts are to tight i dont know need some opinions.

What the heck are you doing changing your own timing belt? Seriously. I admire your courage, or whatever it takes, but if you haven't got the slightest idea about how the car works, pay someone else to work on it! The timing belt and tensioner don't have anything at all to do with the transmission (which is what transmits the rotation of the engine to the axles)... Neither do any of the other belts. Your turning wheels don't have a thing to do with the timing or accessory drive belts.

If the engine is running and has been for a while, then you probably didn't screw up the timing belt job.

Is the car in neutral (manual) or park (automatic)?
