Big brake/rotor kit install help

My new engine (and my heavy foot) are wearing my budget DX font-only pads down to the bone prematurely, and I need sort of a step by step procedure in replacing my rear drums with aftermarket rotors. I assume they're pretty easy to replace up front, but any help there would be cool too. Would I need to buy new calipers to fit the larger brake pads? Within 2 months and 4k miles (I drive a lot :)) I've worn new pads down to almost sparking metal on metal, and shined my rotors to almost mirrors. Also, which holds the better balance between stopping power/longetivity between slotted and drilled rotors? Thanks in advance.

What kind of car is this we are talking about? A civic? sedan, 2dr or hatch? I know that you can take the whole rear setup off any integra and it will work on the 2dr and sedan but i am not sure about the hatch. And i have a et of cross drilled rotors and they have worked great for me. I have heard that the slotted ones hold up better to really hard braking so maybe those are what you want to look at. I dunno how they did it but I saw a pic of a civic that had porshe calipers and rotors on it, now that would solve your problem for sure :grinyes:

Yea I thought about that after I posted the reply and then i got the server is too busy crap so I could not fix it LOL.

Anyway ya the rear control arms and everything else will swap over to your car, then you will have 4 wheel disk that should help some and then you could get some slotted rotors and carbon metalic pads thjat should help alot.
