spark plugs

OK, i saw in a performacne parts catalogue that you can buy spark plugs that generate a more powerful spark, and i was wondering if this is true? and do they help performance? or are they just a hoax?

A spark plug is a spark plug is a spark plug (minus the heat range factor). An MSD setup will increase your spark a little, but won't add any power unless you have a high-performance engine.

np.. just an fyi if you spend over $6-$7 for a set of plugs you're getting ripped off. Back in my idiot days I bought some Denso Iridiums for $80 because the guy told me they would add up to 10hp..

split fire......big pos....where the split is.....half broke off on 3 of 8 plugs in my old camaro.....biggest pos ive ever bought....i use ngk.....ive used champion...ac delco....bosch(bah another pos) no difference....i had a set of bosh quad 4's.....burnt out the center electrode to where it was in the insulater by close to 1/8th inch.....on a stock escort....damn pos.

NGK's are the best imo, but it's the only thing I've ever used (since that set of denso's) and I've never had any problems...

when i installed some bosch +4's i actually did notice an improved accel and gas mileage, but its prolly since the old plugs werent changed for like 90k:D

I just changed from Bosch Platinum to NGK last week. I didn't notice any difference either.
