Tamiya Nissan 300zx Turbo

Has anyone else ever built this model (Tamiya Nissan 300zx Turbo) ? i tried searching but the search function really sucks.

I'm building the NA Convertible right now.
Almost the same. Usual Tamiya quality.

It's a great model. The bonnet comes as a clear part so you can do one of those auto show variants to show off the engine.

thats the one im ordering. so this kit comes with a clear hood? does it also come with a solid hood to paint? and is it a T Top car?

just one clear hood and it is a ttop car, but they are attached to one solid plastic piece for all the windows. Its a nice kit.

Here's mine that was built several years ago. Hopefully the pic doesn't show the layer of dust on it...

cool cars. this is my first model that i will paint with primer and clear coat and the first one with parts other than the ones that come with the kit.

I was quite surprised when I bought mine back in 1990. Pretty pleased to see a full engine. Has right and left dash options, too, doesn't it?

Kinda leaves me wishin' the 350 was done the same way...

yea left and right options, and it does leave something the 350z kit doesnt live up to.

I'm painting mine yellow as well.

On my way to the hobby shop on friday, I ran across a local Z club meet at the Nissan dealer. All I can say is WOW! They were holding a club car show. 240's to 350's ZZZZZZZZ's as far as the eye could see. Most of the engines were cleaner than the outside of my car...
Took lots of mental pix of car details. Cool folks too, they didn't give me any grief for driving a Supra.lol

really cool models guys. im planning to make mine stock for now except for minor things like 18" rims and GT Wings. then in Christmas when i get more money, im gonna buy racing seats, NOS tanks, and other things to turn it into a show car. this will be my first model with such detail and my first Japanese car model.

the spoiler comes already attached to the body, might look weird with another spoiler ontop of that :eek:

ya i agree. after doing some research, i saw that the gt wing just doesnt suit the car. i purchased those wings before i knew if it would look good or not. i mite have to just save those wings for another project then. :(
