hey, i got a few questions here... ok i'm either thinking about going with one carb, two carbs (all 4bbl) or maybe some hilborn injection.. its for a 289 thats gonna be completely rodded out.. with time, for now its gonna be runinng at just about 320hp..

with the 2x4 setup how do i tune the carbs? since the send carb only kickes in at 3/4 throttle do i just tune the first one perfect, then put the other one like the first?

and with the mechanical fuel injection.. i know VERY little about, so any info is helpfull

thanks

Sorry, I'm still learning carbs. I'm more of an EFI guy.

Hell, I havn't tuned a dual quad setup either, but for the love of god stay away from mechanical fuel injection. It's way too hard to install and tune, and outdated. Just finished installing TWM ITB's on my buds 66 mustang with a 306 (4.125" dart block, dry sump, 4340 289 crank) and the car is nasty fast. Motor is EASILY making 70 more horsepower than it was with a single 4bbl on a super vic intake on the same motor, and the throttle reponse is sick. You can blip the throttle at idle and the motor will blast to 8500 like nothing.
