Losing power

i got a 92 GSR and recently i noticed that when i run it on cooler days i tend to get good response, and when my engine is warm bout 1/3 of the temperature meter, i find that i lag in first and i lag when im hitting 80 and tryin to push it like making noise and not sounding as if i was in sync(not sure if you get that one) but was wondering if it was because of my intake, i got some bull shiz intake and i dont think its capturing enough air, i figure they are all the same, i was gonna buy one that drops under near the wheel, do you think this would make a significant change?

you have ram intake?...the one on the side of the passenger wheel underneath is an cold air intake...i never had a ram cuz its known to bring heat from under the car hood and to close to a hot engine...cold air is the way to go..

Yea it sits next to the battery, and i notice the pipe gets to damn hot, thanks for verifying that for me, cause i asked before and nobody got back to me on that, so im gonna change that the first chance i get, do you think that a heat shield around it would be of any help

not realy cuz you still be sucking hot air through the filter..its known that cold air is more efficent being its under the wheelwell close to the air dam..my bro had the short ram in his 91 civic we took it out and put in the cold air in our opinion and sure many other peoples opinion its worlds better
