hard shift

does anyone have a durango with a hard shift into reverse.heard this was normal.

I know that this post's been here for A LONG TIME, but i'll put my 2 pennies into the starting pile....

My 98 Ram shifts hard into reverse, as well as my sister's durango, my mothers durango, and my friends RT, we also have a 95 minivan and its not quiet as hard, but it doesn't have the same amount of power goin through it either.....

I have a 1999 5.2 V8 Durango. Not to long after I purchased it new I took it to the dealer complaining about how hard it shifted into reverse. They said it was normal and not to worry. It absolutly drives me crazy.

Same problem for last 5 yrs. Solved it by replacing tranny fluid w/Royal Purple ATF Trans. fluid. Shifts much smoother. RP oil is hard to find and expensive.
