Changing tail light bulbs

Hey I just got my '03 Jetta a little more than a month ago and I am wondering how to change the tail light bulbs. I've only been able to get the bottom of the light bulb bracket out and didn't want to break the top bulbs so I stopped. I'm trying to add the bulb for the euro rear fog. I figured it wouldn't be a hard mod to do and since I'm in Germany it will come in handy.
