Need info

I need info! Several years ago, dad and I bought a '67 Camaro together, but he died and I only know enough to be dangerous. The car is currently gutted and blasted clean. The original 327 has been sold and I am thinking 502 crate motor. Any suggestions of books/websites for info to begin reconstruction would be greatly appreciated. Who can be trusted and who should be avoided for aftermarket parts? Thanks to all who respond.
