If he does not have a GS-T or GS-X model, the his engine is the same engine found on the 2000+ Eclipse RS and GS'. The 2.4L 4G64. There are only a handful of companies that make turbo kits for the 4G64. Check out Eclipse Forums (http://www.eclipseforums.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=78) for info on the 4G64's options for forced induction. Honestly, I think it is a good engine to put boost to. Has the 2G turbo model rods, good for up to 14 psi, the 2G manifold bolts up to the 4G64, and the SOHC 4G64 head CAN be exchanged with the 4G63 DOHC head.

Check out this thread (http://www.eclipseforums.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=100136) on this turbo kit. Also, another turbo kit thread can be found here (http://www.eclipseforums.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=87922)

Personally, I would choose the first link, the A.A.I. turbo kit, simply for the well done install, and the power put down.

But the most power on the 4G64 so far has been 316 whp and 295 lb-ft of torque. The thread for this is here (http://www.eclipseforums.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=123824). And he is doing that on stock cams. With a new cam and valve springs, his redline will increase to 7500 RPM, and he will be able to boost even more (up to 20 psi, regulary) putting down more than 400 whp.

wow, lot of mis-information in this thread

well to keep it simple, its a spyder, so its a GS-T(4G63)
and 95-99 uses the same turbo(stock)
so it will bolt right on, good luck

No he said it was the 2.4 NT engine. So that engine is the same as the 00+ Eclipse 4 cyl engine?

Not all spyders were turbo'ed. Mine wasn't. I had a 97 Eclipse Spyder GS. No turbo. thanks.

Just check out this page, http://4g64.150m.com/ , and this page for the DOHC head conversion... http://4g64.wraithnet.net/
