AMI you need to run an anti-virus software ASAP, u have been infected with the blaster-b virus


for those of you who dont know what that is: Blaster-B is a modified version of the previous "Blaster" virus Blaster-B attacks your email address book and sends itself out to everyone in your address book. if any of you guys get an email from ami labed "your details" "wicked screensaver" "your information" or "my details" DELETE it ASAP DO NOT OPEN IT or u too will be infected

i advise everyone on this forum, wether you have had any contact with ami or not to run some sort of anti-virus, even if you dont think your infected.....just a heads up you guys --Audi

good looking out, if you guys have a virus program on ur comp you can setup your mail to scan for viruses before it opens them.

weird thing is, i had it. scanned and got rid of it. yet i still get returned indeliverable mail. I scanned again and nothing is there anymore, im gonna have to try a different scan i think..

Holy crap that font is huge, do you think it makes people more likely read it? If they are interested enough to open this thread, they'll read it, no need for font that gives seizures. :D

not me. i don't even have your e-mail addy. i have ran 2 different trojan scans, virus scan, and the same worm program that gta ran. all came up clean. it's coming from someone else addressed as me. like i said, i don't even have your e-mail home skillet :dunno:

Just because you are getting those undeliverable emails doesnt mean you still have it, it means that someone that has your email in their address book that is infected has it. Its like a 2nd party virus, someone else's computer thats infected is the one using your email to send out viruses.

Here's the story:

Scenario #1: Someone with your addy in their address book has the virus. The info is passed on and your account is used as a sender - even though the virus is nowhere near your machine - your email is now logged and used as a false sender.

Scenario #2: A web-crawler has grabbed the email addys off the 4G site to much the same purpose. If you are using hotmail/Yahoo etc, they filter out this stuff. If you use a POP3 account then you are stuck with it, including the bounce messages.

Best bet? Get Mailwasher/Pro and delete the virus files off your POP server before it even gets to your machine. You can also bounce the emails as a Null address to cut back on being spammed by it.
