Tamiya TA04 PRO

Hey,

I am a proud owner of a Tamiya TA04 Chassis that is 80% tuned and it is extraordinarily fast for what it is - its got one way units and a Nosram Patriot Reverse and a Reedy Pulse R Modified Motor!

I don't know why ppl slag off Tamiya cars and i reckon theyre just as good as Associated, HPI and Traxxas - if anything I reckon they're better!:)

Call me sad but I have gr8 confidence that my car can just as fast as sum nitro cars - even with 2 Speeds - out there

In general electric cars has a faster pick up speed then nitro. But in terms of raw power and speed electric cars will not come close to nitro cars at all. I have both electric and nitro so I know this for a fact.

Tamiya can be compared to hpi and associated but for sure not traxxas. For one traxxs does not even belong in this class. It goes maybe to the bottom of the pile. TA04 i an okay chassis even better if you have the special edition chassis but in terms of tamiya the king has to be the TB-01 chassis especially the evolution III

Traxxas R/C Vehicles are bloody great! The Nitro cars are brilliant - especially the Nitro Rustler and E and T-Maxx's! They look BRUTAL and their speeds also represent this. Nitro 4-Tecs are gr8 too!

I think Traxxas cars ain't Race-Orietated but good fun. They can be if they want to. I ain't too keen on the Traxxas Electric cars even though they offer the fastest RTR cars on the market.

The Hop Ups and Spares are good value too considering quality and the services are great.

I like Tamiya for sum unknown reason but i know they are tremendously fast when u get the right hop ups and chassis. I ain't too keen on SHAFT driven chassis as much as BELTS - although HPI's PRO 4 is a based on a SHAFT transmission.

THe Tamiya TRF414M chassis is the best electric chassis in the world. Tamiya's experience with R/C cars has shown in this World Champion chassis.

Actually, the FASTEST Radio Control Car (by World Record) is held by an ELECTRIC car and not a NITRO car :)

only bad thing about Tamiya is that they discontinue their chassis and parts too soon.

for example i have a 5yr old HPI chassis, i can still get EVERY hop-up and stock part for the car... my 4yr old Tamiya, well i can't even get stock parts nevermind hop-ups...

Traxxas cars just sucks only their monster truck is worth looking at because they dominated the market. But now HPI and tamiya and kyosho both came out with new monster trucks they are loosing a share in the market. In general Traxxas quality can not be compared to any of the cars in the market.

There are pros and negatives with shaft drive. Some of you will know the with belt if you run out doors pebbes can get stuck to the belt and gear and will strip it. Shaft no problem with that but shaft can bend to easily so there is a draw back. More tourqe with shaft then with belt.

True the fastest car is the team associated electric car but you have to look at it like this. the car is a 2wd drive and can only drive in a straight line. car is heavy due to the battery pack. But in general nitro car with run at a constant speed until the end of the tank of fuel. With electric you may get a good run speed for a while and then it will start to slow down. Also unless you have a few battery packs charged up like me in a race it will take a good 5 mins for a good charge. Nitro just fill and go.

Just my opion since I have both cars I tend to like nitro better. Nothing like a smell of nitro fuel in the air. :loser:
