Cayenne V6

Porsche will launch an entry-level V6 Cayenne in late 2003/ early 2004. The Cayenne V6 will take 9.1 seconds to hit 60 and top out at around 130mph. The basic model would cost Eur41,000, ($45,000) before tax.
I think this sucks! Unlike the Cayenne S or Turbo, there’s nothing Porsche about this car. 9 seconds to sixty? Bad move, Porsche. The V6 may contribute to profits but it puts yet another dent in Porsche’s image. Fools…

I cant say I like the idea too much either. 0-60 in 9.1 :uhoh:, not what one would expect from a Porsche.

Exactly. What's next? A 4-pot hot hatch?

They developed a brand new V-6 just for that? It seems like they could have just used the Boxster's H-6.

V configurations are likely to figure in the future for P, with a V8 911, that could be why they went with a V6 for the Cayenne

Porsche had the 912 in the 60's, which was a 911 with 4 cylinders.

They probably built the V6 Cayenne for the present economic situation. They'll build what they can sell, some don't want or can't afford the extra power so they just settle with the badge.

Sure, but that dilutes the appeal of the badge. Can't be good for the long term

There's something deeply unattractive about a VW-engined Porsche SUV...

Proof.......hmmmm........Scan me drivers lisence, ownership papers for the Ferrari, ownership papers for the Porsche, your Company ID Card that states you as CEO, pictures of all cars owned with a piece of paper that says- "FUCK YOU JIMMY AND JAY" in red and green letters on the windscreen, and a Baloon tied to the spoke of each wheeloh and then a picture of you AND your wife in all your "cars", a bank balance, power/water bill STATING clearly "BEVERLY HILLS" (Don't have to put your adress in)
Of course you are lying, so I can take comfort in the fact that I won't be seeing any of these
