coil-over reliability

hi, r coil-overs less reliable than lowering springs in the long run? (given you buy quality like GC, H&R, etc. Do they break, slip out of adjustment, etc. anymore than lowering springs? Thanks

The only problem I've ever experience with coilovers is not washing the frequently during the winter, where road salt can seize the collars preventing you from adjusting them in the spring. But as far as reliability goes just make sure you purchase them from a reputable company like GC, Tokico, Skunk2, and others.
