Initial D...

Anyone played this game? What you think of it?

I think i wasted about 10 dollars at the arcade at the mall today playing that game.

What car do you have? (if you have a card)

I have a honda mugen power integra dc2.

I played it when it first came out here (awhile ago) and i started with the Civic Type R and played for awhile then switched to a S15 Silvia Spec-R and fully modded that one. Last car i got was a Evo 3 and havent really played in over 6 months. They do have the home version out in Japan for ps2, so if you have a ps2 that can play japanese games you can save yourself money :D

Next car I'm going to get is The Evo 3, or the Type-R Wrx.

I love the arcade game. The handling is great. U can get some cheats for it on the net.

i run on a rx-7 type r. theres really no cheats for inital d. u can get a gcsv8 or something like that.

We dont have the arcade game around here at all..have to travel to melboure...which is a while and + they dont even have v.2..or the cards but when we r in melb i usauly drive wiht the silvia....fully modded and yer i like all the down hill corses...

for Version 1, i have a fully tuned FD that runs a 3'03" on Akina Downhill. Version 2, i have suzuki cappuchino that runs a 2'44" on Akina downhill. i recently played Version 3, i have a SE3P (RX8). its more like Version 1.

in a evo iv. running regular 3:09's down to ocasional 3:07. can't beat
him in my fd3. have only played version 1.

at shockwave.com there is a initial d game there that isn't that good but it still is initial d.

i play initial d and i found out how to copy cards its really cool my friend gave me his card honda integra type r battle lvl 31 and racer lvl 30

yo i have been playing ver 1 for like a month no
and i already beat it and im ok at it but i need some
help on the last area i forgot the name but i only manage to beat the other guys because i have a AE-86 custumised all the way and the engine is fast but i really need help on the the like the last 4 turns towrds the end they are really sharp and as hard as i try i always nock the hell out of the walls and i try to come up to the turn slow and down shift twice and it still dosent help well any advice will help thanx in advance.

Ver 1 the last course isn't that like Happougahara. Hmm... seem like u are talking about the inbound way. with the very long straight and then 4 quick, consecutive hairpins, rite?

im no expert in it but i always shift all the way up to the 1 st gear and then shift back to the 3rd gear (no brakes) for the first turn. and then keeping it on 3rd to the last haripin. but then i also tried shifting to 2nd with some brakes and then to 3rd, but i find it harder to control, meaning less grip in the tyres.

But then ive onli played ver 2 and 3 !!!

I've also started playing version 3 in Australia. I'm running in Bunta's WRX STI type-R (the only secret car in I:D). Only problem is, you can't get any aesthetic upgrades; only the Normal upgrades are available and your first one is worth a massive 10,000points for an exhaust tune.

Also in Initial D: version3, I think the handling is much more realistic than previous versions. Eg; when you bump into the side-rails, you lose speed whereas ver1&2; when you bumped them, you would bounce off still retaining speed.

Ver.3 the handling is different too. it's harder to turn with the wheels locking up so easily. hmph, i always need to brake way before the turn in orfer not to understeer with my rx-8. but i've gotten use to it now. i prolly can neva plar ver.2 eva again. *sob sob* wasted dc2.
