New Ford Thunderbird, that is...

:) Some progress pics, since I may not have the camera when it's finished in the next couple days...

Despite being a Revell "Wheels of Fire" brand snap kit, it's actually fairly nicely detailed, though the parts count is pretty low. Nevermind the box picture; it must be a pre-production shot, because it's not detailed at all... :nono: Almost made me not buy the kit. Thanks to ZoomZoomMX-5 for the recommendation!

There's also a pic from the '03 TBird brochure of the black/red interior that I'm replicating. I'll be adding seatbelts, but for the most part the kit has it covered. Just a lot of masking to do...

Glad you were able to see past that flashy diecast model and Revells :screwy: :banghead: :nono: boxart.

I never really liked the new TBird when I saw it at the car shows...but on the streets I hate to admit, they are pretty sharp-especially when they're in the right color. Same thing happened yesterday...I never warmed to the Panoz Esperante, then a gorgeous maroon one passed me on the freeway (I was watching it in my mirrors from behind). Wow, it really has a "presence" on the road, looking much more aggressive and sexy in traffic. Very "Jaguar/Aston Martin" sophisticated kind of presence. Totally changed my mind on it...except for the "almost kit-car-ish" taillights. I always love seeing the old Panoz roadster on the road, fun car (especially seeing one sideways in an intersection)...and the factory isn't far, so we see them pretty often in this neck of the woods.
