whats wrong with it

this is the problem. when you rev it up then let it rev down then give it gas it dies then pics up agian. it also does it when you hit 55mph if you have any idea why its doing that please let me know

I have the same problem mine is a 89 what's yours?

ckeck the mass air flow sensor,(maf). I know if it gets dirty it can cause alot of driveablity problems. If it isn't it check the egr valve located on the intake manifold. Can cause tremdous driveabilty problems. It could also be low compression, vacuum leak,igntion related problem,Like plug wires,spark plugs faled,something grounded poorly, fuel pump going bad,fuel filter stopping up, bad relay, fuse blown,blown head gasket. There is alot that can cause it. It may even be the cpu itself but not likely. Tps sensor bad(throttle postion sensor), etc. Let me know if this helps. :biggrin:
