Why are you keeping it under 3k rpm. Thats a bit low, You don't want to end up with a motor thats been only broken in low rpm. Thats just my opinion so don't get crazy on me. Oh and congratulation's I'm thinking of getting one eventually just not the right time for me to get a new car right now. Did you ever see the alpine audion rsx? Thats my favorite.

nice to hear buddy. those cars motors are GREAT building points.

add a full toda cam/ecu package and u' can see dyno proven 227hp TO the WHEELS (not making it up, check out Import tuner if u don't believe it). then think...go i/h/e (proven 20hp gains on the k20a3) and ur looking at 247 hp from simple modifications. insane...

ah, back to the car, i agree, rev it up a bit more but jus don't mash it. u could safely take it up to around 6500, jus don't floor it an i wouldnt' take it to red-line until the 1000-1500 mile mark (like ur doing)

congrats again man

If you rev the car to high the first 600 miles or so, you will see your gas mileage go down for the rest of the cars life and i know this for a fact, right know i got 300 miles on it in 4 days

nonono, i agree, but u can drive a bit higher that 3 without damaging any mpg or anything like that is all.

but its ur car man, better safe than sorry aye?

3k rpm is like nothing to that car, but I understand what you are doing. I kinda misread your post. So after 600miles you gonna go for the gusto? A good piece of advice I can give you from my many readings and conversations about this is constantly vary the rpm. keeping the engine at a constant rpm for more than a couple minutes at a time is not very good during break in. Have fun.

Hey does that car have a mpg gauge or something?
