Im in a position to buy a '94 Integra GSR for about 3,000. Inside is spotless, engine sounds great and the transmission doesn't feel like its going to fail soon, but its 200,000 miles nonetheless. My question is, do you think this is worth it? If not 3,000 how much then? How long do transmissions last in Integra's? If all goes well I'll be getting my first car :)

if its spotless and runs great like you say then it has probably been well-taken care of and you probably got at least 50k if not 100k more if you treat it right.

and is it from a kid, if so it has probably ben driven alot harder.

but if it does ever decide to go on you, even with the price of rebuilding the engine or a newer used longblock, it would be cheaper than any 3rd gen GSR around here.

and I dont know about the tranny, but i know in 88, the automatic in my grandpas accord was still workin at 240k, but they sold it for a newer car. and im guessing honda wouldnt let their build quality slip in newer cars so im gonna say it'll probably last a long time too.

The second driver has had it since 96 and is a 35 year old mother with a 10 year old so I think it was driven fairly carefully. Most of the miles are highway miles around Atlanta too.

Not sure if I'm going to get that one though, Ive found a 94 RS in a bit worse visual condition but with only 125k on it.

When the car is in neutral, the engine block, radiator, and anything else connected to it vibrates as well as the stick. Is this something to worry about(on the 200k integra) or is it normal. Thanks for the help guys, I don't want to screw up my buy heh

not normal on my 94 RS, and im gonna say it isnt normal for a gsr, let alone any car, at idle it hsould be running perfectly smooth with no(maybe MINIMAL) vibrations.

anyways, if you dont get this car, where is it, and can you pm me the number? I dont realy want the car for a GSR, but for the shell as well as electronics/head/tranny.

check to see if it is just broken motor mounts. the nylon(or whatever the material is called) inserts might be cracked as well. but if that was the case id still think it would be smooth at idle, just jerk aorund alot when shifting/taking off.
