740i battery location

I inherited a 1994 740i with no owner's manual and a dead battery. I can't figure out how to get to the battery. I understand it's under the rear driver's side seat, but don't see any latch or anything indicating how to access it. Any suggestions? Thanks, Tom

It is under the rear seat cushion. Grab the front edge of the cushion and pull up sharply. It is only held down by these clips that will release the seat bottom once unclipped.
