Just had a new radiator, fuel filter and belts put in. Now it shifts strange, when it goes to around 6000 when floored it instead of dropping to 3800-4000 RPM's it glides back on the tac... hopefuly that makes sence. Would it help to reset my ECU and let it re-learn the car? The tranny did NOTHING like this till the day I got it back from the shop. It does this worse in Comfort than in power, ofcourse in power it doesn't goto 6000, but still I just so happend to feel like flooring it (god it's fun :naughty: ) and it did that, in all gears. I've never seen anything like this.

never had anything happen like that on mine, and i doubt your ecu is doing it. Do you mean its like its slipping?, your description wasnt very good. Plus your car is atleast 10 years old, might just be normal wear you never noticed.

It's starting to not do it now... I don't know what the deal is. I wouldn't say it's slipping... it's just taking longer for the RPM's to go down AFTER shifting than it did before. It's getting better though.

Hi,
I had/have a similar thing with my '90 Max. It was slipping in the tranny, or so it seemed.
I am not sure if it is still doing it, as I also have just had it back from the workshop. I had my timing belt changed, and the waterpump and other belts, but I also had the tranny fluid drained and refilled, did you do this?
I am wondering if new tranny fluid takes a while to settle in?
Let me know how it is treating you.
Regards
