Clutch question

My clutch pedal is getting stiffer as i drive the car on longer drives. When the engine is cool it's nice and easy to press and change gears, but once the engine warms up the pedal gets stiffer and I hear grinding noises coming from the pedal. I'm thinking i need a new cable. Also, I hear a rattle noise coming from the rear driver's side. I just swapped my stock tail lights and saw a drain hose (so i think) loose. Is this the problem or is it something else.
